from Compositions by Brenda Castles
Planxty Gorman was composed for the beekeeper, Paddy Gorman, who so kindly helped us and allowed us access to his beautiful apiary. The tune was inspired by many of the compositions of Ed Reavy which often span several octaves-this tune spans two and a half octaves. It was also of course inspired by Co. Meath’s own Turlough O’Carolan.
