from Compositions by Clare Sands
This is a relatively new tune for me and it came very, very easily. I am hugely passionate about open-water sea swimming and surfing and one of my favourite places to swim is Jenny Watt’s Cove in Bangor, County Down – also referred to as Brompton Bay. There is a wee cave here that Jenny Watt, the smuggler of the North supposedly lived in. How cool! Not much is known about her…. so, I thought she deserved a tune, and no better way to keep these women’s stories alive in history.
