from Compositions by Marty Fahey
One of Ireland’s most knowledgeable and renowned of antique dealers for decades is Johnston Antiques in Dublin. By 2009 my curatorial work had put me into regular contact with the owners there, brothers Paul and Chris Johnston. Over time we became friends. Suddenly, in 2014, Paul passed away and his loss has been felt by many. Family, friends, colleagues and even competitors miss his great knowledge, passion, raspy voice and dry wit. This tune, which borrows its name from an Irish play by J.B. MacCarthy, was composed in memory of Paul.
