from Carl Hession Compositions
This tune is derived from a song written around 1840 by a relation of mine. The song was titled Caismirí an phótaire leis an uisce beathe and tells the story of an argument between the drinker and the whiskey. This song was recorded on the CD Ceol Inné, Ceol Inniu in 1995. After listening to the recording in the studio, Mairtín O’Connor said to me that could be a really nice jig, so we then decided to record it.
