Dublin-born Claire Sherry’s passion for music ignited at a young age, propelling her into a distinguished career as a versatile musician. An accomplished player of many
instruments, Claire excels in the fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, tin whistle, and viola.
Her broad musical capabilities and dedication to her craft have earned her recognition and respect in traditional Irish music circles and beyond. Claire’s performance career has taken her across Europe and America. For several years, she has been invited by the Department of Foreign Affairs to participate in and organize cultural exchanges in Malawi, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
As a highly regarded and sought-after music teacher, she also manages over twenty musicians at the world-famous Johnnie Fox’s Pub – renowned for it’s “Hooley Nights” and Claire performs there regularly. Claire’s illustrious career is marked by numerous accolades and notable performances. Her dedication to both preserving and innovating within the realm of traditional Irish music ensures that her influence will continue to resonate for years to come.
