The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.
On Sunday, 6th October 2024, ITMA and the National Concert Hall presented the sixth edition of the Drawing from the Well concert series in front of a sold-out crowd.
The audience was treated to a beautiful night of music, song and dance from Iarla Ó Lionáird, Mick, Louise and Michelle Mulcahy, Zoe Conway, Seán McKeon, Liam O’Brien, Síle Denvir, Stephanie Keane, Iarfhlaith Ó Domhnaill & Natalie Ní Chasaide, West Kerry band Cuas, Barry Kerr and Doireann Ní Ghlacáin.
Throughout the night, the artists performed new interpretations of traditional music, song and dance based on archival materials and their engagement with the archive.
ITMA would like to thank all artists for their contributions, NCH and ITMA staff for making the night run so smoothly and most importantly the audience for supporting the traditional arts. The next edition of the Drawing from the Well concert series in partnership with the NCH will be held in May 2025. Tickets will be made available on itma.ie and nch.ie in the coming weeks.
