The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.
From August 19-23rd, ITMA hosted free events each afternoon as part of National Heritage Week. The week’s events included a film Screening of ‘Fuascail’ followed by Q&A with director Barry Kerr, a lunchtime concert with Mick O’Brien and Ciara Ní Bhriain, a film Screening of ITMA’s documentary ‘Seán Keane: A Portrait of an Artist’, a lunchtime Concert with Andrew Caden, Ryan Sheridan, Conor McDonagh and Jack Fitzpatrick, and to finish the week off a screening of ITMA’s documentary ‘Brendan Gleeson’s Farewell to Hughes’s’.
In total, ITMA welcomed more than 200 visitors for the week’s events. We’d like to thank the Heritage Council, all ITMA staff and everyone who came out to an event.
