    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.

    Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    ITMA at the FIAT/IFTA Media Management Seminar 2023

    On May 25 and 26th, ITMA attended the 11th edition of RTÉ and the FIAT/IFTA Media Management Commission’s “Changing Sceneries, Changing Roles” Seminars, focusing on media management, metadata, rights, new emerging technologies and changing skillsets.

    The theme of this year’s seminar, which was hosted at Dublin City University, was ‘Digital Transformation, Sustainability and Media Archives: Challenges and Opportunities’.

    The group of 150 international delegates included researchers, archivists, developers, journalists and the wider media management community. The seminar’s speakers and panels focused on new challenges, innovative workflows and practical solutions facing the digital archiving and broadcasting community.

    ITMA digital archivist Adam Girard spoke on day one of the conference, where he discussed planning a new digital storage infrastructure for ITMA.
