On Thursday, 14th March, ITMA presented a night of beautiful music, song, dance, poetry and history dedicated to Dublin fiddle legend Tommie Potts.
Drawing from the Well: Tommie Potts, was the fifth in the Drawing from the Well concert series in collaboration with the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
The night featured a lineup of wonderful artists connected with Tommie Potts and his music: Aoife Ní Bhriain, fiddle ; Noel Hill, concertina ; Sharon Carty, mezzo-soprano; Ryan Molloy, piano; Sorcha Costello, fiddle; Liam O’Connor, fiddle; Sibéal Davitt dancer; Ronan Browne uilleann pipes; Ellen Potts fiddle; Seán Ó Broin, flute; Seán Potts, uilleann pipes; Paul McGrattan, flute; Cuthbert Tura Arutura, dancer; Paula Meehan poet; and Fiachna Ó Mongáin, accordion.The concert’s programme was presented by Dublin historian and broadcaster Donal Fallon.
