Poems and songs on various subjects / by Hugh McWilliam, school-master. Rare songbook published in Belfast by F.D. Finlay in 1816, written by Hugh McWilliams (c. 1783 –1831) of Glenavy, County Antrim. Compositions of he Poet Hugh can still be heard in contemporary traditional singing sessions e.g. ‘Peace in Erin’ and ‘The trip o’er the mountain’. Donated by Jackie Boyce
