Child Protection Safeguarding Statement
Children are welcome to visit the ITMA library, attend ITMA events, engage with ITMA staff at Pop-Up Archives and may be featured in the ITMA collections.
At ITMA we believe that
ITMA have carried out a risk assessment of all activities and have identified the following programme areas that involve young people, and thus may pose a risk in relation to child safeguarding
To mitigate these risks all ITMA staff undergo Child Protection and Safeguarding training, best practice is followed in the recruitment of staff and volunteers and appropriate Garda vetting procedures are followed. Children may not feature on the ITMA website, or on any of ITMA’s social media accounts, without prior consent from both the child and their parent/guardian.
The Children’s Officer (DLP) for ITMA is Treasa Harkin – [email protected]
The Deputy Children’s Officer is Róisín Conlon – [email protected]
