Bhí ard-mheas ag Séamus Mac Aonghusa ar fhidléireacht Niallaí Uí Bhaoill agus scríobh ina dhialann an 8 Márta 1944: ‘fidléir thar barr é, agus cumas aige nach bhfuil ag níos mó ná triúr fidléirí uilig, go bhfios dom féin’. Is leagan é an ríl seo, a ndearna Ennis athscríobh air ó sheinm Niallaí, de cheol atá ar fáil an-chuid áiteacha in Éirinn. Foilsíodh é in Music of Ireland le O’Neill faoin ainm ‘The Curragh Races’ (No. 1276). I dtuairim an bhailitheora, Breandán Breathnach, is malairt leagain é ‘The Maid in the Cherry Tree’ a foilsíodh in Ceol Rince na hÉireann 1 (uimh. 103) ar ‘The Curragh Races’. Tá gaol ag an ríl freisin le ‘The Humours of Knockaney’ a thug an bailitheoir Francis Roche ó chontae Luimnigh san áireamh in Collection of Irish Airs, Marches and Dance Tunes Vol 3 (No 83).
