    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Ireland with a tour of the Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA), home to the largest, most comprehensive collection of Irish traditional music, song, and dance in the world.     These unique, daily tours provide visitors with an opportunity to delve into the world of Irish traditional music, song and dance. During your visit, you’ll learn about the extensive collections that document the rich history of Irish traditional arts, while also learning a few Irish language phrases.

    Irish Music Tours at ITMA are a part of the TurasÓir initiative in association with Dublin City Council / Curtha i láthair i gcomhpairtíocht le Turasóir le Comhairle Cathrach Baile Átha Cliath, Conradh na Gaeilge agus BÁC le Gaeilge.
     
    Experience Live Performances

    Experience live music as talented musicians perform traditional Irish tunes, bringing the archive’s extensive collections to life. You’ll hear and learn about instruments such as the fiddle, uilleann pipes, and harp along with some traditional dancing.

     
    Learn to sing a song ‘as Gaeilge’

    Practise your ‘cúpla focal’ by learning to sing a traditional song ‘as Gaeilge’ (in Irish). Under the guidance of Sorcha Ní Scolaí, an accomplished singer and uilleann piper from Dublin, you’ll learn the melody and lyrics to a traditional Irish song.

    This interactive session connects visitors to the music and song heritage of Ireland, while developing your Irish language skills. Bain sult as ceol, amhráin agus rinnce gaelacha sa Taisce.
