A collaboration with Anne Bailie and Danny Diamond
Andy Dickson (d, 2020) was a fiddle player and composer who lived most of his life in Belfast. He was a prolific composer of tunes and following his death in 2020 his partner, Anne Bailie, and fiddle player Danny Diamond, worked with ITMA staff to make all his compositions available to the public.
On the first anniversary of his death, in April 2021, six compositions were published, along with recordings of Danny Diamond performing three of the tunes and Andy himself playing the fourth.
Since then Danny and Anne have provided ITMA with the resources to publish the full complement of Andy Dickson compositions, which amounts to 2,131 tunes in total. Each tune is presented here as an interactive score with a downloadable PDF. The compositions are divided into 11 books with c. 200 tunes in each.
Also included in this collection is a biography of Andy and a tribute written by his friend and fellow fiddle player, Dermie Diamond, featuring additional recordings.
