The first cassette in the series.
These recordings were made for Antóin Mac Gabhann by Vincent Broderick. They contain almost 200 of his compositions, along with introductions and stories behind the tune titles. There are some songs, tales and recitations included, along with a descriptive piece called ‘Ward’s Eviction’. The first set of tapes were made in the late 1980s and the second set were made in early 2000s when Vincent was in his 80s.
For each tape in the playlist the corresponding time-coded track list is available in the tab below.
