    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    Transcriptions by Anton Zille of Denis Murphy recordings

    In this collection you will find six tunes transcribed by Anton Zille from reel-to-reel tape recordings made of fiddle player Denis Murphy (1910–1974) by Breandán Breathnach from 1966–1970 in Kerry. This notated collection forms part of a wider project called “Stories Told by Cards & Tapes: Uncovering Denis Murphy Materials at ITMA”.
